There are many reasons why you would want to change the parameters of your connection client – perhaps the IP address of your RDPlus server changed, or maybe you need to add the printer redirection or change the universal printer settings or so on…

You can edit the parameters of an RDPlus generated client simply by entering the full path to the client at the command line, and adding /? after the file. This will open the Remote Desktop Parameters dialog window. If you are unfamiliar with the command line, you can try the following method:

You first need to create a shortcut of your connection client. To create a shortcut, right click on the connection client and choose “Create shortcut”, or hold down alt when you click and drag the connection client to a new location.

Then, right click on on the shortcut and go to properties. Then at the end of the target field, add /?

Now click OK and double click on the shortcut. A list of client paramters will pop up:

Click OK, and you are asked if you want to check your parameters, so click Yes.

A list of all the parameters in the connection client will appear in a small window. You can now edit them to match your preferences. You will need to log off and log on again to apply the changes.

Clean the Parameters of a Generated Client

If you upgraded your RDPlus version from a 7.X version to a 8.X or above then you will need to generate new connection clients. If the newly generated connection client has the same name than the previous one, you will to clear to the client cache by following this procedure:

Create a shortcut of your connection client, right click and hit properties. At the end of the target field and type in /clean
